So what is the difference between unadon and hitsumabushi? Unadon is a large bowl filled with rice and grilled eel with sweet soy sauce. The price differs by the size and thickness of eels and good restaurant will use fatter and bigger eels for their dishes. Hitsumabushi is a type of unadon but the difference is that special wooden bowl is used.

Hyotan is a place where you can have okonomiyaki and monjayaki. I think most of you who are interested in Japanese food already know okonomiyaki. For those who don’t know what okonomiyaki is, okonomiyaki is Japanese pancake including a lot of ingredients. If you are visiting original style restaurant, the server will bring you a bowl with ingredients. From that point you have to do everything by yourself! The main ingredient is cabbage, and you can choose your favorite toppings like meat or seafood. It only costs JPY 1,000-1,300 for one okonomiyaki.
Actually Hyotan is more famous and popular for monayaki. Monjayaki is Japanes pan fried batter which is similar to okonomiyaki but uses different liquid ingredients. Sukiyaki is a Japanese meal which is similar to shabu shabu. These two are similar but definitely different. Both of the dishes use thin-sliced meat and vegetables and you will also have dipping sauce. However, the method of cooking is different. Sukiyaki has a rich flavor while shabu shabu is more like a hot pot.
Imahan Sukiyaki boasts its long history of over 120 years. The price is not very cheap since you will have to pay at least JPY 3,200 for one person serving. This price is for lunch only. If you want to try Imahan’s sukiyaki (or shabu shabu) for dinner, it’s easy to spend JPY 10,000 for one person. The most expensive course goes up to JPY 25,000(or more) per person. However, the taste here will never disappoint you. The staff will basically do everything for you so all you have to do is just waiting for the ingredients to be fully cooked and enjoy it.

If you order Amuse Tower, it will also have small illumination on the platter itself. Top of Tree is an excellent place to enjoy luxurious atmosphere with reasonable price.

Similar to Top of Tree, Brasserie Aux Amis Sky Tree is also located inside sky tree town solamachi. This French cuisine provides course menu with reasonable price. Dinner menus becomes a little bit expensive, which is more than JPY 10,000, but it still worth since having course menu from the place where you can enjoy night view usually costs more than JPY 15,000 per person in Japan.
