Yoshimura strawberry park

Yoshimura strawberry park is located in Tochigi prefecture and it takes about 2 hours from Tokyo. The website says the peak season for strawberry picking is from January to mid April. Yeah, it means we still have time to enjoy delicious strawberries. You don’t have to make a reservation in advance, just visit there during their business hours. You can check their website to see if they open or not on the day you want to visit.
The entrance fee is JPY 1,000~1,600 and the cost differs by which time you are visiting. For example, you will have to pay JPY 1,600 if you visiting there in December while paying only JPY 1,000 for April 10th to May. This may be because May is end of the season so that the taste also can be different from the first picked ones. There is no time limit to use here.

It take about 10 minutes on food from Kaminoge Station and you can also take a bus if you wish to. You can enjoy unlimited strawberries for 30 minutes and it costs JPY 2,000 for adult. You may feel 30 minutes is very short; however, let’s remember that strawberry is mostly consist of water. You will soon be full with strawberries.
Similar to other farms, Setagaya Strawberry Farm also doesn’t require reservation. They adopt first come first serve system so it is better to go there early in the morning and line up for entering. It is said that they open from 10:00 a.m. but the tickets for one day are sold out 10 minutes before their opening time.
kamakura tourism strawberry farm

Kamakura is one of the most famous tour spots where tourists visit during their trip to Tokyo. it is not very far from Tokyo since it only takes about an hour and a half to 2 hours by using train. Kamakura is very famous for huge Buddha statue and very near to sea. I guess it is quite good idea to visit strawberry farm as well if you have any plan to visit Kamakura during your stay in Japan.
Same as Setagaya one, you can use maximum 30 minutes and it is not possible to bring back picked up strawberries. It costs from JPY 1,400~2,000 depend on which season you are visiting here. Different from other places, they open only on weekends and holidays. However, they do not accept people endlessly so you would better visit there early in the morning if visiting here is included in your plan.
